• How do you know if the Gradient cost will cover our savings on Databricks?

  We conduct a free proof-of-concept where we test Gradient on a few of your real jobs to get an understanding of the savings potential. From those results we can see if the pricing ROI makes sense.

  Gradient’s value also extends beyond pure cost savings, such as hitting SLAs and making cluster management a lot easier for your teams saving valuable engineering time.

  Therefore, the total ROI of Gradient will depend on the needs of your company.

• Why do you charge based on DBUs

  We use the DBU metric to simplify pricing and make sure the Sync fee is always a small percentage of whatever job Sync is managing. 

• How to calculate DBUs?

  Run the following SQL commands on your system tables in Databricks to calculate your DBU usage.

• Does Sync offer a pay-as-you-go plan?

  We do not currently offer pay-as-you-go plans. Our plans are offered with payment on a monthly or annual basis.
